I won't say I have totally fallen for Barcelona just yet, but after my random rambles either with Miss J or solo (after she started the official business of participation in the International Society of Ultrasound and Gynaecology (ISOUG)), I am starting to realise the amazing blend of the ancient and the modern mixed in a well serviced bustling city on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea - it basically ticks lots of boxes.

I drug Barry around Barcelona, looking at mosaics ALL day ... there will be retribution! We found our way by metro to Casa Batllo; a redesigned house by Antoni Gaudi, 1904. Afterwards, we found our way to Park Guell with lovely views of the city, and of course, lots of mosaics by Gaudi! He was a master with iron, carpentry, glass, and of course, tile.

... find nothing much interesting, i have been to Lisbon Aquarium which is huge and they have sea life outside of aquariums such as penguins and its much bigger than the Barcelona Aquarium.

Overall i would give the Barcelona Aquarium 3 stars. (See my review)

On our way back to the hotel we decided to find out where the Barcelona Market was, so walking up the Las Ramblas road we found the market on the left hand side. It is huge with a tone ...
