... Falls. After getting dropped off at Grassy Gap, we drove about another 12 miles on the skyway and then turned onto River Road. There were a lot of kayakers along Tellico River here and the drive was very scenic. It was only a couple miles to the spectacular Bald River Falls, which is visible right from the road. The Chattanooga Airport is so chill! We get here with two hours to spare and we talk about how before 9/11/01 we never worried about getting to airports early, period! Today we expect to have to go through hours of security checks. But not here in Chattanooga! :) Check-in complete. Ready for Take-off. What a day! This morning we left the motel after three very comfortable nights to set off for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee. We crossed the border into Tennessee from North Carolina after 45 minutes. We found Gatlinburg very busy as they were preparing for a midnight grand 4th July parade.
