We were awoken this morning to the sound of a commercial washing machine, creaking on the floor above us and the sound of an African-American voice telling her kids to stop running 'or yall slap ya face on that there pavement'. No joke! Nomes groaned, rolled over, and proceeded to sleep until 11! I let her sleep, knowing it'd be the last chance she'd have in the next couple of days.

The hotel owner had told us they serve donuts and coffee for breakfast. I ...

... different airline. Confused, we went to another gate where we saw people from Allegiant. The woman told us our flight was delayed by three hours and we should have signed up for text alerts. What we did
Left Auckland airport for Los Angeles via Tahiti. Awesome flight on Air Tahiti Nui, definitely better service than expected. Arrived in LA at 11am with not much sleep on the plane. We arrived in a remote terminal of LAX due to renovations being completed at the airport so we missed all of the duty-free shopping, etc. We were questioned a bit by the ...

... escorts for anything interesting. We learned that these ports are the most boring ever…Santa Barbara only offered 3 wine tastings and a trolley ride, and Ensenada offered 2 wine tastings (one of which I heard scathing reviews about from a past youthie) and a Mexican folkloric thing. It also offered a visit to La Bufadora, a huge marine geyser, which would have been cool if Lily* didn’t have to get to work at 1pm which is when the tour would have gotten back. [[We ...

    ... Mansion
Maybe the most amazing house in Beverly Hills on 18 acres sits this 1927 mansion. Since there was a function they allowed us a quick peak into the entrance hall…. But then the balcony was closed because of it. But we still walked around fountains and the cypress line and the pool area. This is one amazing garden where you can get lost.

    When we checked out ...
