By the time the kids finally got to sleep it was usually well after dark and I found the driving bloody hard, the roads being pretty good but all the road markings faded and with constant stream of oncoming traffic it had me cross eyed after an hour or two so couldn’t make the most of the silence. After checking into our hotel we took the train to the city to make a late night visit to Time Square. Although it was raining it was fun to see Time Square light up and we met a lot of helpful people along the way.
