... Broadway Street in Nashville. Hopefully we'll stumble on some great country music. Who knows, maybe even some famous bands…it could happen.
This is our last day in Nashville before heading home tomorrow morning. Sometimes it feels like we've been on the road forever and sometimes it seems that first Sazerac I had in New Orleans was just yesterday. Either way its been quite a journey.

our second day in Nashville was a trip to the famous Broadway Street. When we made reservations at the campground we didn't know how big the CMT awards were and all the people that would be downtown. The area was packed with people waiting to get in to the awards ceremony and the street was completely blocked off with big stages ...
... to smoking and then a number of shops selling preserves and meats. For an appetizer they came out with 10 Biscuits and fresh preserves which we all thought was awesome to the point it almost spoilt our main breakfast meals.
Chris had the Southern sampler with smoked Ham, Sausage meat, and eggs with a side of their famous Casserole Hass Brown. I had the Biscuit sampler plate with 4 small biscuits with pulled pork, bacon, smoked country ham, and fried chicken ...
... particularly as far as Jack Daniels is concerned. It is now owned by the Jack Daniels Distillery and is actually run by Jack's great grand niece, Lynne Tolley, although she never met Jack as he died back in 1911, aged 61. Lynne took over running the restaurant when Miss Mary Bobo herself died in 1983 aged 102. Good knock that ! We, along with a number of others waited for the bell to ring and be called up for lunch by our hostess. Ding-a-feckin-ling - there it is ! ...

I didn't realise what a big place for music and musicians Nashville is! the music scene here is huge! you can pretty much see or hear live music at all times of the day! and pretty much for free! even in the hostel there are always musicians around playing various instruments and singing! it's such a great atmosphere there! everyone joins in, and it's not all serious either! there have been some hilarious moments with musicians making up ...
