... Vermont and visited Woodstock a very neat town with heaps of beautiful old buildings. We also visited Billings Farm and Museum, a living museum of Vermont's rural past as well as a working dairy farm.

We then set out for Ludlow and got caught in a storm for a while. It was very windy and the rain came in sheets. Mike did well to keep the coach on the road.

We stayed at the Jackson Gore Hotel, a ski resort for the Okema ski field. Very nice hotel.

We went up into the Bennington Tower which overlooks the township and far into the distant. Gorgeous gorgeous place and oh so ...

... got to meet Lacey, the cat (or rather, "Mr Lacey"). Mr Lacey was taken in by J & P about three years ago when he wandered out of the forest. He is a little skittish with strangers but with time he seemed to thaw out and allow us to scratch his back and, sort of, make friends.

Some half a dozen or so horses graze on the property and there are many wild apple trees and a pear tree growing near the house. Apples from these trees are to be picked to make ...
