We awoke in Pembroke to a gloriously beautiful day. The sun was shining and it wasn't too warm (yet). Dad and I attended the briefing. These are held at 8 AM (almost) every morning, which seems reasonable except that I am on vacation and want to sleep in!! The group took off on time, heading down 17 towards the 508 and Calabogie.

Every year when March rolls around we can't wait to head to Vermont's best kept secret - Bolton Valley. This year we are glad to have the Casey family joining us for the trip. The temperature at Bolton has stayed on the cool side and the conditions are supposed to be great. We will know soon enough.

From Tim Hortons, we started our ride back to Brockville. I decided to take the long ride home and took Hwy 2 and the Parkway for our drive home. On the way home, we listened to Canadian themed music cd with singing by Michael Mitchell.
... but luckily we caught it on time. If we would have missed it, we would only have had to wait for the next one - would take an hour. Anyways, we made it so we were headed back to Kingston. The ferry back to Kingston was full. In fact, for two unlucky vehicles, the ferry was too full by the time it came their time to get on - so they had to wait until the ferry returned in an hour.
