... cowboy was bellowing out the instructions. Right, right, shuffle three times, to left, left, two steps forward, now back, back etc etc. I gave it a go but my coordination was hopeless so gave up laughing. Rachelle was a good sport and kept it up for a while longer, then Kelly joined in, leaving me and Rich to laugh at them from the sidelines. Good fun.

This was just the build up for the country music show of the year at the beautiful Ryman ...

... watching the stars. Our pleasant time with the Putt’s was almost over.

In the morning both girls shed a few tears, was it because we were leaving or were they glad to see us go – we are sure it was not the latter. David then dropped us off to the airport on his way to work for our flight 9.10 am flight to Los Angeles.

How lucky are the Putt’s get rid of one sister only to be blessed by another in November! Could be a bit confusing for The Big ...

... Bardstown, where Ralph used to hang out. Among other places, at Laha's burger joint, owned by members of Ralph's family. What an original! We came back later and had lunch here, sitting at the bar talking with Mae who has been serving for 27 years. In the town is an inn where Jesse James and friends shot at the wall in one of the rooms, and MW was put in the stocks ...

... place the Broadway Brewery was way too depressing and possibly one of the few places with no live music.

We popped into Honkey Tonk Central for 4 or 5 songs and one overpriced bottle of beer (which we would soon realize was the standard price around these parts) That was pretty cool but we had to keep exploring and obtain some nourishment.

We moved on from there to Merchant's (good reviews on yelp... no music but good food) We got in there ...

I believe that most trans-american trips must include a visit to an unfamiliar Walmart for some culture. I quickly bought my 10$ watch and got House rigged up with some fishing equip. In the parking lot, a family in an RV has been parked (apparently for several weeks) there with signs exclaiming their despair ...
