For the price I would recommend the stay. It is an older Inn but very hospitable and clean.

Today was a quiet travel. We left Salem, VA on a dreary, drizzly morning. By the time we were in Nashville, TN it was sunny and mild. I am still feeling the residual weakness and feeling tired from having the flu so we made it an easy day, We went to American Pickers Antique Archaeology store. Those who are not familiar, it is the show on History …
... hoping it would clear but instead the rain set in. It only got heavier, the walk down took forever, desperately trying to keep the iPhones dry. Took 45 minutes to get down in torrential rain, we were completely soaked through. This area of downtown Nashville resembles a cross between a Chico fraternity ...
We got to experience the Nashville traffic as we ventured from the northern part of the city to Franklin which is south of the city. We checked in our hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, and headed into the quaint Village of Franklin.
What a cool town!!! We ate at Red Pony Restaurant, enjoying wonderful appetizers, entrees of beef tenderloin and shrimp and grits. We married the entire meal with a good glass wine, beer ...
It was an educational evening. We spent it comparing overblown hotel prices in the downtown area and eventually out by the airport. As the kind receptionist at Ramada Inn Downtown Nashville Tennessee informed me, we were not to find normal prices due to three ball games and a hundred and one concerts in town. I think the prices were almost doubled! We ended up in a reasonable La Quinta Hotel. Fine! The next day, instead of rushing into town to see all the tourist places ...
