Coming off the Natchez Trace Parkway is this truly quaint little town of Franklin which has a lovely, historic Main Street. With a self guided walking tour in hand, we walked down the street learning the history of each of the buildings which date back to the 1800s. A few blocks from the Main Street are lovely antebellum homes and as well, homes that, if they could talk, would have wonderful stories straight out of the civil war days.

11 years ago we went to Gaylord
Opryland Resort with Josh and Hannah so decided to go back there and
show them so they actually remember it. It's a large hotel with
gardens and water features throughout plus a small river with boat
