August 30th has finally arrived. Our flight leaves at 9:10pm leaving us some time to gather some last minute things and make sure that everything is taken care of around the house. The excitement of leaving is growing, and surprisingly Kara slept through the night, me on the other hand not so much.
The only part about this trip that will suck is leaving the dogs ...

Our map reading at times resembles our driving map reading of last week.......and we seem to take the long way to get from A to B. But on asking a police officer in French which way to the Champs d' Élysées? He responded..... in English that it was right over there!!!! ... eating the wonderful food, listening to the music, and viewing the natural environment. They say life began in Africa, and I can't think of a better place.

CFB Trenton was a major staging area for the ride, and saw hundreds of riders joining us from all over Ontario to honour our fallen soldiers and ride the HOH. The gods of weather must have realized how special this was as the rain stopped and the sun came out during the speeches.
