The hotel was very comfortable and price was right. Rooms pretty suitable, nothing too fancy, but mini frig and small microwave were very helpful. The bathroom, showers and beds very good. Updated TV and breakfast was very above par. Good place to rest!

I'm not sure what the normal nightly rate for this hotel is, as I got a 45% off deal, but my husband and I just stayed here two nights, and were very happy. It is very close to shopping and restaurants, so be prepared for traffic at peak times. Also the breakfast is amazing. Waffels, danish, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, hot meat and eggs, or biscuits and gravy, coffee, juice, cereal. It is a whole spread, not just cereal and toast like some cheap places.

Room was clean, and they even restocked the toiletries and coffee and made the bed up all neat.

    Would stay here again!

Woke to Breakfast on the chilly patio. Fred does a nice job with his cooking.
What to do before leaving. How about the Gondola ride up Vail Mt. Very scenic trip up the mountain plus a short hike on the top. Great pictures from up here at 10,000 ft.
Left our friends home after returning from the ride and drove I 70 east to Denver. You drive thru the pass at over 11,000 ...

... for a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The air is thin up there! The last little bit has you walk up a couple hundred stairs and you could definitely feel it. It was also only about 55-60 degrees and blowing cold wind as storms lined the distance peaks. I forgot to bring a jacket because back in Denver it was 85 degrees and sunny. We continued our drive through the windy mountain roads and I ended up seeing deer, elk, friendly chipmunks, and the ...

... for it! The popular and timely British saying, " Stay Calm and Carry On!" became the mantra that we tried to maintain!

We got a daily bulletin that explained the program for the next day. It always listed a few pertinent quotations and one of them held special significance for me: "A journey is reaching the end and discovering you're only halfway there."

I'm ready to discover that other half.

Although the dramatic separation that is shown in movies usually overly dramatized, sometimes reality is like a movie. When I said goodbye to my best friend, it was exactly like the teary goodbyes that you see in movies. We were both sad to be going away for so long and the enormous wave of other emotions did not help my already fragile state of mind. I felt nervous and excited about going off on my own, but knowing that my brother was a sophomore there was ...

... ago. Pam couldn’t stay long and we had to get on the road so we said our goodbyes, watched Darby get on the school bus and we continued driving west. We drove for 12 hours today our longest day so far, the least interesting ride. We drove across Missouri & then across Kansas which took up the majority of our day. It is flat and boring, gas was more expensive because we were in ...
