The hotel was very comfortable and price was right. Rooms pretty suitable, nothing too fancy, but mini frig and small microwave were very helpful. The bathroom, showers and beds very good. Updated TV and breakfast was very above par. Good place to rest!

I'm not sure what the normal nightly rate for this hotel is, as I got a 45% off deal, but my husband and I just stayed here two nights, and were very happy. It is very close to shopping and restaurants, so be prepared for traffic at peak times. Also the breakfast is amazing. Waffels, danish, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, hot meat and eggs, or biscuits and gravy, coffee, juice, cereal. It is a whole spread, not just cereal and toast like some cheap places.

Room was clean, and they even restocked the toiletries and coffee and made the bed up all neat.

    Would stay here again!

Alice proved her skee ball skills, becoming champion of not only our party of 4, but also several other small children in a skee-ball / horse racing game. Tickets were won and spent on fake mustaches. It was a time warp. I am proud to declare that I set a new record on the Pac-Man machine - posting a score of 47,000.

... had a mini mass. After church we picked up a couple of things from Whole Foods Market so mum and dad could cook dinner. They made meatballs, they were really nice. Then we drove to a park with lots of Christmas lights and walked around in the cold looking at all the pretty lights. We drove back home and Skyped the family, it was really nice to see everybody and wish them merry Christmas. Everybody went to bed excited for the following ...

... We found a funny-face rock and some chipmunks along the way to the Fire tower. Climbing the 139 steps (Taylor counted) the 200 feet up to the cabin was tremendous. The fires in Utah and Idaho have blown an orange haze over the ridges. The caretaker, Bill Ellis, has spent 29 summers living up here on this precipice watching over what seemed like the entire state of Colorado. Caleb was in the running for "Youngest on the Summit" but missed the trophy by 4 weeks. We climbed ...

We stayed at The Brown Palace, one of Denver's oldest and most chic hotels. Not terribly old to Brits, but ancient by American standards. Porters at the door to carry luggage, gentle piano playing in the atrium and Denver's wealthy folks swanning around... It ...
