... 160;I believe I must have parked at a high school lovers lane of some sort because at 1:30 AM I awoke to a pick-up truck, followed by an even bigger pick-up truck enter the lot and an exchange of teenage women, accompanied by some blaring Y2Country.  They soon left, probably surprised and confused by the looks of a spaceship like car with California plates.  Yep, I had officially entered The South. We headed out about 4:35 pm after discovering that Elizabeth was in need of a new rear tire. 40 km into the ride, the sky lit up with bolt and sheet lightening and we headed for the first gas station in Fenton, Louisiana which provided shelter during the subsequent downpour. We will see in the next few miles if it was the right choice! p.s. 18 pounds to ...

But instead of sleeping I will lay their with my thoughts running 90 miles an hour - is everything packed, did I get everything done at work that I should have, am I crazy for going away for two whole weeks? Can only hope that by the time the plane lands in Honolulu, I will be able to relax, leave all my worries behind and enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer.

... three hour drive into New Orleans so we should be there by noon. Our campsite is very nice. Has water and electrical outlets right next to the picnic table and even has a shower in the bathroom. I'm a little confused about how Louisiana handles the finances of their parks because we had to drive on a dirt road to get to the park but when we got here the bathrooms were air conditioned. I'm not complaining though because with the humidity I will take any air conditioning I can ...
