The church bombing was the third in Birmingham in 11 days after a federal order came down to integrate Alabama’s school system. Fifteen sticks of dynamite were planted in the church basement, underneath what turned out to be the ...

    • My granddaughter, Kenna, told me I had missed her last two birthdays and could I please make this one. I was there for their Spring break and Erik, my daughter's boyfriend, asked me to stay for his graduation from the police academy. Little did I know it would put me there for over a month. It was a wonderful trip and everybody, including Erik's family, made me feel ...
