      ... that Owen would make this hotel his usual one in the area as he normally stays at another hotel. The head chef came out as well. They both received their plaudits.

      We were offered an early morning tour of the area at 6.30am tomorrow. Most of us said that we would go, so it would be an early start. The tour would only take an hour so we would have to have breakfast on our return and to check out at 8.30am the next day.

      When we returned to the station, Owen was waiting for us with the bus. We had enough time for a quick shower and dressed in the traditional formal yukatas for dinner. Dinner was a sampling of different food types. I had to disgrace myself in the eyes of the Japanese by cooking my sashimi. I don't do raw fish, tuna or prawns. We had wagyu beef that we had ...

      ... to everything on the road. But after reaching the first rest area, I had felt quite confident. Aqua, the small Prius hybrid car by Toyota is quite smooth, quiet, and oil-saving. The screen shows the oil consumption by km/liter, and the number usually fluctuated between 25-35. (On the last day when I filled the tank, we only consumed 21 liters for 600+ km! around 30 km/l, very impressive!)

      The hotel was a Route Inn which we have found to be a very good value for the money. Laundry on the other hand was a challenge as the loundry machine only speaks Japanese and no one English,. But we got everything washed and tried

      Funny evening in the hotel restaurant, The waitress was really giving us a top service and the food was really good.
