Clarion Hotel Springfield

... 66.78. We spent over an hour in the pool and hot tub last night. We were the only ones there. The room is big, clean and well appointed. It is our best deal yet.<br><br>Today is a beautiful day, we have full sun. Breakfast at the motel was waffles, fresh - we made them ourselves in the lobby.<br><br>Tonight we will camp. We have already found a campground near Tulsa, OK. that we think we will like and maybe even stay a couple of nights.<br>

... one came around to wait on us until I went to the bar and asked the bartender. Unfortunately, the service never got better. Springfield was certainly rubbing me the wrong way. We ordered the beer sampler. I had chili, Kelly ordered the Cheddar soup. She liked hers. Mine was unremarkable. The beer wasn't awful, however. I ordered the brewmaster's special, but the waiter brought me the IPA. I'm anti IBUs, so that beer didn't go over very well with ...

... cities, the more important the old route 66 turns to be for the locals. Small towns are flooded with route 66 memorabilia and every merchant tries to find a way to exploit the classical brand. But why not? This is the theme here and fits very well with the surroundings. <br>

Really the plan is to drive to Springfield on the 17th and spend the night at my sisters. I figure I'll go up during the early evening hours and hang out with them a bit before the grand adventure begins. Plus they want to send a few items ...
