... the buses tomorrow. When we got back I went to go to sleep and was greeted by April a british girl who was sitting on her bed 3/4 of her way through a bottle of rum. She wouldn't let me sleep until the bottle was empty. Meh its free alcohol, why the hell not. I was up until 3, at which point, Spanish Pablo had returned, as had the guy who spewed on my first night. They were both out of their minds, but I managed to duck off to sleep without them ...

... 3rd night here because we have to get the van back at 11am on friday morning (or $50 every half hour we're late!) and its about a 4 hour drive from Sugarloaf. So we've decided to go back to Key Largo again. The resort was so immaculate and the view so special, that it would be great to have our last night in the van there. Also it was miles nicer than this KOA is.
Kids went for a swim when we got back, and then we had snack supper in the van.

We left Miami after a sumptuous breakfast at the Hamptons and drove further south to reach Key West around 1pm. The whole drive was a beautfiful experience with the ocean on both sides of the highway during the 120 mile trip. The panoramic view of the water and its different shades and colors and the 1000s of cottages and vacation rentals along the way with direct sea views!!!!... Bliss........

... the lack of birds! It was incredible, they were right off of the trail, we were probably 4-5 ft away from them. Thankfully they seemed like they were napping, but we were sure to keep our distance. On the way out of the park we also watched as a man moved a snake (with a pole) off of the road. More cool wildlife! Then it was off to the overseas highway, the one and only route to the Florida Keys. Sadly its ...
