      ... time. Back to the hotel for an excellent complimentary seafood dinner then a limo back to the airport for my 1.50 am flight back to Sydney. So my totally unexpected and enjoyable visit to Dubai is over.

      ... sent us off in the wrong direction... at 0115 in the morning holding back a bubbling rage is hard, but manageable with a few carefully selected profanities, after another passenger became frustrated with the staff, this particular staff member (the one who had sent us in the wrong direction the first time) walked us to our right gate (against his will)... our 15 minute technical stop had turned into an hour and 20 minutes.... Dubai is the worst airport I have ever been ...

      We knew that everything in Dubai was big, but wandering through the different shopping areas uncovered some unexpected surprises....

      First stop was the modern Dubai Mall near the Burj Khalifa. This mall is billed as the world's biggest, but it is not until you get inside that you discover that as well as a large number of shops, it also has a huge aquarium and waterfall!!!
