    ... in......sleep.....we plan on only an hour or so......three hours later and 7.30pm we rise, quick shower and our on the town. We dine at Babusa Eathai, a little bit of Thai tapas, then out for a walk to familiarise ourselves. People everywhere......and it's cold. Despite the multiple layers, the wind bites through. We soldier on. So much to see. We walk through China town and the theatre precinct before making our way back home. End of the real first day....we sleep ...

    ... is undergoing major extensions to make it even bigger. Also the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. The metro is fast and gets us there in under 20 minutes, a lot faster than driving. The mall is just too big to walk around. 1,200 shops are just too many.
    We take a break outside on the promenade where we can admire the Burj Khalifa. Also the mall has the Dubai fountains, a huge water show very similar to the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Its on at 6pm so ...
