And the story begins........ The 4am alarm ended up being fine and we were on the road by 430am. Terminal 3 at Heathrow is a pretty uninspiring place, and seeing that Emirates seems to base itself there I wouldn't be surprised if there was some major development work or a relocation of Emirates. Our 840am departure was put back an hour which allowed us to get breakfast at The Bridge Pub, went for ...

      • The desert safari tour is a MUST. It was our favorite part of Dubai. We booked through Orient Tours and it was so much fun! We rode a camel, sand surfed and watched a Bedouin dance.

It has a huge waterfall with giant metal men diving down it, which was super impressive until Chris noticed that the metal rods connecting the men to the waterfall looked like penises hahaha. The Dubai Fountain outside the front of the mall was pretty spectacular; a huge monument was its centrepiece and the Burj ...

What a busy morning, trying to get organised amongst the debris and dust of our recent renovation process. We are taken to the airport by our neighbours,we have packed judiciously, I would have to say that this has been the leanest pack I have ever ventured forth with. We negotiate some seating issues and celebrate the fact that our upgrade to Business Class is successful.Smooth sailing and we actually have some sleep between Sydney and Dubai. We had a three hour ...
