      ... lunchtime and after this we wandered around many speciality boutiques. By this time the queues were tool long to go into the Basilica, Campanile, Clock tower and Bell Tower. Again I may do some of those at the end of October. Looking forward to returning to Venice with Eraine. The next part of our trip starts tomorrow - heading for the Dolomites 10 Day trek.       ... to ride for three more stops. Not that I minded. I love the water! So once we got to San Marco, we passed all these street venders and made our way to the other side of the church in the square, which is the Doge's Palace. Back in the 1500s, this half an acre of land was the most powerful in all of Europe, which is crazy to think! We actually went to the other side of the square before this to go into the Museo Correr, which is a museum filled with Venetian historical items. ...
