First I want to welcome my baby sister to retirement! You've worked hard and earned this, so enjoy it!

We started our day later than normal, not necessarily sleeping in, but leaving. There is a winery near here that was recommended but it didn't open until 11, so we made that our first stop. The setting is really neat. The owners have set up several areas where you can sit and have a glass of wine and have a neat view overlooking ...

We started the day by dressing for the golf crowd at the country club. Bob has several collared shirts, but the only one I have is the one from South Texas Renegades. I actually did OK. In the past for 9 holes I shot about 90, you know 10 on each hole, but today I shot a 69. WOW, a 69, and I even got a few of them up in the air. There is one store that is a hardware store and deli. I'm sure that the deli has not been around since the late 1880's, but the hardware store has been. They have a theater still ...

... we hopped in the car and went in search of something to eat. We ended up at Golden Chick and then afterward, we found the local Walmart (surprise, surprise!). Upon return "home", we finished making it comfortable. Now we're watching some TV and I'm getting ready to go cut my hair.

Not sure what we will be doing tomorrow, haven't looked at the map to find out what is within our 75 mile radius, but you can be sure it will be historic. Lots of history in East Texas. ...

Another delightful day with my wonderful hosts Frank & Marie Wilson.

Frank needed to replace some tyres on his big trailer before lending to his friend Henry who was getting a load of hay for the upcoming winter.

Frank & I headed into nearby Vans to get the replacement tyres for his trailer and I could not pass up the opportunity to take a picture of the signs in front ...
