    ... like a bedouin in the desert, I knew my destination, I just couldn't get there. I covered my head with my scarf, which doubled as a sweat catcher.     ... Restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The food was delicious and the service very attentive. We realized why when we were asked to complete a survey after our meal. As with most restaurants and hotels in Dubai, alcohol is not offered on the menu, but is available upon request. It was nice to retreat to our room for a proper sleep.

    ... the area and going in and out of shops. It was extremely hot so we tired out easily and headed back. Some of the gold jewelry was absolutely beautiful, and although you could probably get some nice stuff for a great price, I was just happy to browse. It was pretty neat to explore this area, which looked a lot more like old Dubai instead huge skyscrapers.

    ... thing we did. there are 2 routes red (city) blue ( further out to Jumeirah beach and the Atlantis on the Palm . Got back to do Burj Khalifta and the lift was amazing ....did in what seemed like a few seconds....we were overwhelmed by the whole day....then we did the night tour. It covered what we did in the day on the blue route but the lights were just beautiful. the Dubia Mall is incredible ...can't even begin to tell you. It is 18 football ovals large with so many shops ...

    ... soon flying over 50 ft. dunes at dangerously high speeds. I asked Abdul how long he has been doing this, his response: "First day." As Sean Kingston's "Suicidal" blares from the speakers and we come close to rolling the SUV, I can't help thinking that Abdul has a sadistic sense of humour. It is really quite something to see a steady line of 20 4x4's darting over the mountainous dunes like a trail of deranged ants on speed.
