Baia Norte Othon Classic Florianopolis

Muito importante essa viagem, rendeu bons frutos! Pude aproveitar, além do FEMUSC (Festival de Música de Santa Catarina), e fazer uma visita ao Beto Carrero World. O festival começou no dia 21 de janeiro de 2008 e durou duas semanas, cheias de aulas, concertos, estudo, amigos, e diversão, trabalho e música! Infelizmente não vou botar todas as fotos aqui, mas espero fazer isso daqui em diante, nas próximas viagens!

... There's not a huge amount to do other than mess around on the beach and surf but it was really nice to enjoy our last few days in the sun before we enter colder regions of South America. We spent 4 nights here and the hostel was great fun. Played a lot of beach football and a more serious match, gringos against locals, which was wicked fun, we did get beaten pretty badly though.

... to fit in a number of very strong Caipirinas along the way too on the beach as there was a mobile bar rolling up and down the shore all day, god they were strong!! (see pics!!). ... had that nasty bug and we´d been able to get out of Curitiba when planned, which have been very helpful. It doesn´t take long to pick up the basics for our purposes and the more we use it the better we get, as we have the opportunity to practice it everyday. The language club where we studyed, was a great little place in Lagoa Da Conceiceo which we caught a 15min bus to, each morning. ... time, with only one morning and of course the day I left perfectly sunny. Stopped in a beautiful place called Florianopolis, en route to Carnival. It~s been awesome here... met some wicked people on the bus journey from Uruguay, so decided to share an appartmkent with them for a few days. Fab place right next to the beach... which is packed with people in thongs (and that´s just the guys... )... hmmm, am sure they´ll be more of the same in Rio. No photographs for this entry, as quite frankly, it would have scarred your eyes.

two days in Curitiba ... not a lot of seeing tough ...we went to some cool spots ... but it was a truly annoying day ... maybe there'll be a change of plans .... the family wants to go to uruguay for new year's eve ... but floripa in brazil, just 3 hrs away from here ... is gonna be better ... so i still dont know what i'm gonna do tomorrow ... =)) see ya latta!!!

After Rio we went to the City of Curitiba. The government of Brazil want all cities in Brazil to be like this one, no crime, good transport, cool buildings... We relaxed here for a couple of days on the way to the Iguazu falls and the Argentina border! Def worth a quick look, really nice place...
