... of a detour round a slightly ropey part of town when the sat nav went a bit wrong, we parked up on Laura Street (!) and followed the map we had with all the events on it. Throughout the part of town we were in (Jacksonville is the biggest city in the US based on square miles but it's all very spread out- like lots of little towns grouped together in to a city) shops and cafés were open showing the work of local artists, jewellery makers,sculptors etc. ...
... everywhere, which means I walk about 4 miles a day. So with the gym and the early starts added on top of rest I'm pretty tired by the evening and ready for a nice sit down, which I can now enjoy with a g&t from my $7 bottle of gin. Mum (and Claire if she's reading, and Laura too!) would definitely enjoy the tax free bottles of gin and wine on offer at the shop. It's not much more expensive than a big bottle of orange juice here!! I think it's best I head off to bed now ...
We had a great day touring St. Augustine, the oldest European city in the United States. We took the trolley around and really enjoyed seeing this beautiful city. Yesterday it rained all day but today was clear if a little cool.

... gate was basically empty when I got there so I had a bit of a panic and sat down. That's when I looked at the flight time to discover it was actually at 1650, exactly one hour later- not in the next few seconds! I must've looked ridiculous as I ran to the gate a sweaty mess and then sat there for an hour. The flight to Jacksonville was easy enough; I spent most of it asleep!!
