    Gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill in 1848. This find attracted Americans and immigrants alike. American men moved west and immigrants arrived via San Francisco's port.     ... but it’s expensive. Gas/Diesel here is at a very good price. The manager, Pat, is no longer at the park which is too bad as they really don’t have an office anymore…just a sign to a trailer to sign in. This is the big downfall but don’t let it keep you from staying here. Super pleasant wooded, rustic park that I would definitely stay in again.
