    ... once a mosque & dozens of arches cover the area which was the mosque, with the main part of the cathedral in the middle. I walked to the newer part of town & into Jardines de la Victoria. I went through the Alcazar de los Royes Christianos & its gardens. I also went to the synagogue & through the Spanish Inquisition Museum. It had displays of various torture tools that were used during that period & I found it hard to understand how man could be so cruel ...

    ... br> Sadly that wasn't quite the end of it and I made one further mistake. That evening after a nice meal of chicken I got the creamy pud out of the fridge and tucked in to a large spoonful. Unfortunately it wasn't a cream and chocolate pudding at all, but cheese with chopped peppercorns - what an unpleasant surprise.

    Recently all my sites have been rural so I think it is now time to move somewhere more urban and I am off today to stay briefly in St Rochelle

    ... see a soul. So weird. So we left Cognac and headed towards Limoges. I had a campground all picked out so we could see the infamous Oradour sur Glane. The drive there was very picturesque with fields of grapes and wheat everywhere. On the way we detoured a little to see the Chateau de Neuvicq le Chateau.     Saturday and it was time for our next guests to arrive. There was one slight hiccup, the annual Brossac cycle race was due to take place that day which want all the roads were closed to traffic! So alternative routes were sent by email and we sat back and waited. Frank invited me round to watch the football the final day of the Championship. Wolves missed out by 4 goals!
