We ended up getting to the hotel at about 8 PM, so didn't have time to go back into town for dinner and to see the city. It was a bit of a bugger considering we won't have time tomorrow as we are at CERN all day. Instead, we went next door to a nice Italian place. I had an awesome risotto, and many of the others got other fantastic looking pasta dishes and pizzas.

We watched the girls play in the park, avoided ice cream - it was only 9 in the morning- and precisely 8 minutes later, the woman I so graciously gave directions to, came up to me and kindly informed me that if we were still going to the museum, we'd need to go the opposite direction.
Hmm…I was starting to wonder if I needed a technology class….....

... hot tea (mixed with alcohol) where for some odd reason, the people drinking the tea were throwing the tea bags up towards the ceiling of the bar, where it stuck there like stucko. I few drips now and then fell onto our heads, but it was all good. The Cathedral of Notre Dame of Lausanne belongs to the Swiss Reformed church and building on the cathedral started in 1175. The cathedral was consecrated in 1275. The pipe organ is unique in the world and was inaugurated in December 2003. It took 10 years to design and build and is composed of 7000 pipes, 2 consoles, 5 claviers and 1 pedalier. It weighs 40 tons and cost 40 million Swiss Francs to build.
