I survived snoozed in short spurts and felt totally worn out and in zombie land by time plane landed in Charlotte. That was a 9 1/2 hour flight.

I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!
I'm going to keep my eyes, mind, and heart open and have a great time!
Relaxing morning followed by a search for comfortable shoes. We found a DSW (designer shoe warehouse) to look for sneakers. . Bobby got one pair , Kitty got one pair, Eddie got tennis shoes with memory foam and a pair of slides (sandals with no straps and not flip flops) that had memory foam, and I got 2 pairs of sneakers. No amount of memory foam or good shoes could prepare us for the amount of walking we would encounter this ...
... We took some pictures and Kitty and Bobby did some shopping. Then we drove to Kannapolis to see the Earnhardt Tribute Plaza. His statue was very life like. Our last stop was Hendrick Motorsports, home of the greats--- JEFF GORDON, Dale Earnhardt,Jr., Jimmie Johnson, and Kasey Kahne. They have a huge complex and a nice museum. A few purchases were made here also. Back to camp for an early dinner. Kitty served rolls, ham, coleslaw, ...
