Today I decided to have a little bit of a lie in, because of how quiet the hostel room was, instead of the norm of being woken up at 6.30 by people getting ready to leave for the day! Statues of various frogs. Arrived ...

The final road toll for the trip ended up being about 6500 yen or just over AUD$70. I think that Aussies would have a fit if we had to pay that much for a 3 or 4 hour trip.

From there, we drove back to Tachikawa so that ...

... catching up with Norzin and trying to teach her the technical aspects of taking photos...f-stops, shutter speed and a bit about ev and ISOs. The practical lesson will come tomorrow with a visit to Lake Shirokoma.

It was late when we got back to the ryokan. Thank goodness! I could now have a bath at the public bathroom with no one else to see me in the nudies. There were three other families there at the ryokan.
