There is a shopping road called Haccho Oji in this area too. There are a bunch of souvenier shops and places selling soft ice cream. I wanted to try the miso flavored soft ice cream but it was too cold out!

A "JUMBO" boat for 45 people with a full course meal is 65,000 which seems quite expensive but comes out to about 1,500 yen a person (plus the costs of drinks). All-you-can-drink is an additional 3150yen. W "medium" boat for 17people w/ meal is 26,000yen.

Arrive in Aso-san around 1pm and after a quick lunch we decide to head up to one of the craters - Kijima-Dake which is one of 4 volcanos in the area.
