    Woke early and caught a taxi to Ueno station. JR Shinkansen to Nagano, then electric train on the Nagano dentetsuline to Yudanaka. Walked up to our accomodation - Shimaya. Mr Yumoto is very helpful. He drove us to the snow monkeys, then we walked 1.6 km through the forest to see the monkeys.     For the final day, we got up and had our normal breakfast. Sam laughed that the HP had been unopened the whole season and since Thomas arrived, we'd just finished the bottle!
