    ... descend and after seeing threatening clouds it finally starts to rain. Kusatsu is located at about 1200 meters and there is a lot of greenery everywhere.     Today we take a bus into the mountains to visit the Snow monkeys. The monkeys live near a hot spring and will sit in the hot springs right through winter to keep warm. The bus ride is 1 hour and has some stunning views. You have to walk 1.5ks through a beautiful forest to get to the entrance of monkey park. Now as the snow is melting the path is very wet and muddy.

    For the final day, we got up and had our normal breakfast. Sam laughed that the HP had been unopened the whole season and since Thomas arrived, we'd just finished the bottle!
