... journey, partly to review my course in Japanese and extract the verbs and vocabulary needed for the tasks of travel, and mostly because I loved this ryokan with its old wooden buildings looking like samurai houses and stone lanterns and paths through plantings, and lit torches at night.

910yen (about 10 dollars) from Beppu Station
Usuki is also accessible by ferry from Yahatahama Ehime, to Usuki Harbor (2hours and 15minutes)
Once you arrive at Usuki Station, you can get tourism brochures. With the English map that I found, I did the recommended walking route which is about 2 kilometers. There are also free bikes for tourists to borrow at the station and apparently these can be used to see the ancient Stone Buddah structures (6km from ...
... can even be enjoyed by visitors who are staying by themselves or as a couple. To ride on a boat with an open space is 3150yen a person (about $35USD)
A "JUMBO" boat for 45 people with a full course meal is 65,000 which seems quite expensive but comes out to about 1,500 yen a person (plus the costs of drinks). All-you-can-drink is an additional 3150yen. W "medium" boat for 17people w/ meal is 26,000yen.

... to people staying there and can serve as a good point for local activities. There is a special cycling path called "Maple Yaba Cycling Road" (about 40km long) that goes from Nakatsu station down to an area called Yamakuni. This path is especially scenic in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. Throughout the year it provides a fresh breath of nature lined by rice paddies, mountains and the river that connects to the ...

Aso, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan cagonuJust viewing your CV for 10 seconds can be enough for a potential employer to decide whether or not to offer you an interview. Remember you only have one chance to make a first impression so you need to make it a good one! This is hard enough to do in your home country; imagine how hard it will be in a foreign country where you not only have to produce a great CV but you also need to do it in another language. You and your CV are a ...
Usa, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan axistranslation... You can feel your heat beat in your feet.
After you are done in the sand you then proceed to the Onsen area. You get naked (still no one around), wash all the sand off you then jump in the boiling hot bath. Now, after the long hot bike ride and the sand, then the bath, I was on the verge of passing out. The bath was so hot! I dragged myself out and couldn't walk straight. Very relaxing but very draining as well. Just as I was leaving a couple ...
... jumping from pools of different temperatures into a sauna into a heated swimming pool outside), we headed to an izakaya for some simple food and alcohol, which makes a great chaser for the dehydrating experience of onsen (plus all I've had up to this point is chocolate, cookies and peanuts--the Babak skiing diet...) So I got a local specilaity of tori-ten (essentially fried chicken with a tempura batter), some tofu stuffed with pork, and some more shochu, and spent the ...
Beppu, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan mchaoArrive in Aso-san around 1pm and after a quick lunch we decide to head up to one of the craters - Kijima-Dake which is one of 4 volcanos in the area. The walk up from the bus stop half way up the mountains only takes 45 minutes but it's really steep and very windy on top but the views are fantastic and it really shows how large this calder is (i.e. the original volcano crater) - it's approximately 23km wide - that's a very big volcano by ...
