It's an 8 a.m., four hour bus to El Cheltan along the 'mystical' Ruta 40. I have no idea what the deal is. After spending two nights in El Calafate, I took a bus to Chaltén, a town about 4 hours north of Calafate. the bus trip was an interesting one as part of the road was under construction and we had to take a detour on a dirt road. this didn´t slow the bus driver down at all and for an hour or so the ride consisted of fishtailing all over the road...
