Spent a few days in this small town, saw the touristy Dracula's castle (which isn't the real one apparently) and it's merchandise, lovely rolling hills, ruins of castles and some wild bears. Ate cheaply and well, caught up on some reading and sitting in cafes...

From Budapest to Brasov in Romania, it took a 12 hour train ride. Trains here are very slow. Brasov is a good place to base oneself to visit the castles and surrounding countryside in Transylvania.
