A beautiful city in a great setting. I'm sure that the perfect August weather contributed to my enjoyment of the place. As I was travelling on a Brit-Rail pass that could be used ona limited number of days in a three week period, I usually tried to go as far as I could each day in order to extract the maximum value out of the pass.
