Bucharest Hostels - Reviews and Rates

I've been carryiing around my warm clothes for 1 1/2 months now. So far, I have just needed my long sleeved blouses and my hat and warm jacket a couple of days in Iceland at the very beginning. Notes for entry: Arriving early, nothing like the LP guide said (no glue sniffing kids/begging gypsies but there are dogs! station quite nice. had to wait while to book couchette. macdonalds again... plastic money! went for wander, bit lost, stray dogs following me! came back to station. had brainwave of hotel. raided info at desk in ibis hotel ...

The flight on Alitalia was terrible. The food was disgusting and there were not individual TV's. However, I did sleep for most of it. Maybe it's the movie selection that keeps me awake for the whole flight. I had been worried about my tight connection in Rome but was able to enter Italy, depart Italy and get through security in about 15 minutes....

What a train journey! Best summed up by drinking beer, choking on cigarette smoke and enjoying some of Elvis's classic tunes while eating grilled pork in the v.70s dining car...
