2. Halbzeit!
Wie ließen uns sehr lange Zeit in der Früh. Als wir mit duschen etc. fertig waren und bereit loszugehen war es 11:00. Auf dem Weg zur Ringstraße wehte so ein starker Wind dass wir durch das Gewicht der Rucksäcke fast in den Straßengraben flogen. Um 8:00 gingen wir los um uns auf die Straße 862 Richtung Ringstraße zu stellen. Da die Kreuzung mitten im nirgendwo umgeben von einer Wüste war, machten wir uns nicht allzu viel Hoffnung das wirs rechtzeitig zum Bus nach Egilsstaðir schaffen würden…Nach 1,5 Stunden kamen dann Erasmus Studenten die uns in 2 verschiedenen Autos bis zur Ringstraße mitnahmen. ... ch fjordů. Východní fjordy nejsou tak zajímavé jako jih, ale tím nelze říct, že by trasa byla nudná. Je tu spousta vodopádů, vrcholky hor mají ještě sníh, jsou tu hluboké fjordy i šílené ovce lezoucí po silnici nebo po kolmé skále, miliony labutí a několik farem.

Skaftafell to Hofn (and beyond)
... at the hotel a lot quicker than I was expecting and kind of freaked the reception girl out. i'm not sure they are used to early people.
I decided, as it was only early afternoon, to drive further east along the coast. It's a spectacular coastline with huge cliffs and ridges rising up from the sea. I stopped every now and then to take photos and just generally enjoyed the view.
