... and the rain left a rather humbled feeling. But it is the kind of tristesse not unfamiliar to Paris when the water pours down the cobbled streets. For being in central Paris it was surprisingly dead. Even the hotel I stayed in was already dark. I didn't see the ward who fortunately called me out of the rain.
