Which treat today??
We have had a great couple of days in Queenstown but we always knew we would have a good time here! Yesterday we made the most of having the car and drove further down Lake Wakatipu towards Glenorchy! Glenorchy is 44km from Queenstown and is supposed to be beautiful, we didn’t go that far but the scenery heading that direction seems to …

Days 58-62 Queenstown
Five days in Queenstown, should have been plenty of time to do all the things I had planned however, what I hadn't counted on was spending the first 3 days in bed full of cold! Yes, the cold I got in the day we set out for Milford sound, hit in force once we arrived back n Queenstown, nothing to do but dose myself up and wait till I felt better. …

Beautiful setting on Lake Waktipu. Rooms are nothing but you should only be in them to sleep anyway, The y are big and that makes it easier to share the dorms. Bathrooms large as well. Everything spotless. The kitchen, lounges, amenties are fantastic.

Awesome views, not that far from town but a very cold walk in July. Kitchen large but crowded, rooms ok, showers ok. Price around $25 with YHA card.

Way too big to be social, but a nice place to stay. Looks a way out of town but it only takes 10-15 minutes to stroll (and I mean stroll, only takes 5 minutes to power walk) into town. Only has 5 or 6 parking spaces but free parking available on the road.
