          Pleasant Stay

We stayed three nights in a twin room with shared bathroom. The room was small and rather plain - two beds, one chair and hooks for hanging - but clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was a reasonable size and well equipped and the lounge and dining areas bright and clean. The hostel is about 10 minutes walk from town and across the road from the lake so location was good. As with most YHAs this was a clean pleasant place to stay.

Beautiful setting on Lake Waktipu. Rooms are nothing but you should only be in them to sleep anyway, The y are big and that makes it easier to share the dorms. Bathrooms large as well. Everything spotless. The kitchen, lounges, amenties are fantastic.

Awesome views, not that far from town but a very cold walk in July. Kitchen large but crowded, rooms ok, showers ok. Price around $25 with YHA card.

Nice hostel, but too big to be social

Way too big to be social, but a nice place to stay. Looks a way out of town but it only takes 10-15 minutes to stroll (and I mean stroll, only takes 5 minutes to power walk) into town. Only has 5 or 6 parking spaces but free parking available on the road.

Queenstown is such a beautiful city that if I were to permanently live here, I would still feel like I'm at a resort all the time.

The skyline gondola was a fun thing to do. I wish I had more time to go several more rounds but nonetheless, my time was limited as always. The view it afforded was that of the cityscape with its back drop of …

Today me and Amy hung out together in the morning sunbathing until mid afternoon when we went and met Lauren and Katy for the famous Fergburger. Me and Amy shared one as theyre massive, theyre well known in New Zealand. It was a pretty amazing burger but I wouldnt go on about it being one of 2 best burgers in the country! Im glad I have now tried …

          Below Zero

Today we had booked a voucher to go the local Ice Bar, called Below Zero. Luckily we got advised of some voucher websites and found it pretty cheap! It included a drink too and it was something different to do and something for me to do in general! So we made an effort to look nice, took a walk into town on a really nice hot day and searched for …

Today was more of the same as yesterday. The girls booked a cool trip on luges up the mountains around Queenstown, theyre like little go karts with just a break they looked pretty cool but I couldnt afford it! So I skyped most of the day, sunbathed and just chilled in the movie room and drew!

There is no need to write about today as it only consisted of PJS and movies in the comfy movie room!
