I stayed in a private 3 bedroom with my friend and it was a lot nicer then my first experience in a larger more public room.

          Simple and Cheap

Yesinn Hostel is convenient and cheap. There are 9 bunks to a room (stacked 3 to a bed). The rooms are clean and simple with nice primary color décor. I stayed for a single night on a Hong Kong visa run from Shanghai and it was perfect. There was a Halloween party on the roof and everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun.

Clean, 21 bed dorm is not bad at all, own private space, quiet for the most part, comfortable enough. Staff aren't overly friendly but all speak English and are happy to answer any questions. Nice atmosphere - I would definitely recommend staying here.

          So-so, but location is good

It's cheap for Hong Kong, clean and rooms have ensuite bathrooms that work well (the flushing power could be stronger). The location is good, on Hong Kong Island, maybe 20-30 minutes walk (or 3 stops of the MTR) from the big bar, club area of Wan Chai

Hostel is split up into different 'apartments' though so some areas don't have communal spaces, so not much for mixing and meeting people if that's what you're after. Overall, it was OK for what I needed--some rest and relaxation.

My experience in Hong Kong is brief, yet thoroughly enjoyable.

Getting into the Hung Hom train station I have to carry out my textbook Chinese activity of booking the onward ticket. Time is my biggest enemy and being unable to get onto the scheduled overnight trains would mean a fairly pricey airfare.

Well that flight was eventful! We were in the airport really early then ended up runnin to the gate with hardly anytime to spare. We got there anyway so that's the main thing.
