It's cheap for Hong Kong, clean and rooms have ensuite bathrooms that work well (the flushing power could be stronger). The location is good, on Hong Kong Island, maybe 20-30 minutes walk (or 3 stops of the MTR) from the big bar, club area of Wan Chai
Hostel is split up into different 'apartments' though so some areas don't have communal spaces, so not much for mixing and meeting people if that's what you're after. Overall, it was OK for what I needed--some rest and relaxation.

Hong Kong
Hong Kong- January 12-18, 2009 We took a 2 hour train ride from Guangzhou to Hong Kong on January 12. We arrived on the Kowloon side of HK where our hostel was located. Update
Just a little update on what we put in so far.......... We were staying in the Yes Inn for 4 days in a place called Fortress Hill, a residential area near Central. We have now visited Central a few times, by far one of the best places to visit in Kong. We travelled up the mid-level escalators, a brilliant form of public transport that runs …

It took us roughly 48 hours to get from Beijing to Hong Kong. We had stopovers in Changsha, Guangzhou (where we experienced our first tropical downpour) and Shenzhen. Hong Kong territory became again part of China 12 years ago but the gap between the two places is still very noticeable. First of all - people. …
Swelting start
I really liked Hong Kong, even the dodgy, dodgy building I was staying in Chungking Masions the place with a past. Also the first place I've seen where you have security guard making sure the lifts aren't overloaded, and yes the lifts often were so packed they exceeded the maximum and often just stopped. The building itself has everything you need …
Hong Kong - Day 1
First day in Hong Kong;
Landed in Hong Kong yesterday morning and it was hot for a change! At last no snow and ice everywhere! The hostel is located near the bottom of a big tower block. Not exactly fancy or as good as the last place but its nice enough.
While I was waiting for the internet I got talking to a lass from London. …
