I am in Australia! While I love traveling, it's always been a dream of mine to come to Australia, ever since I was a kid. Not sure why, probably because my favorite animal was a koala and seeing them at the San Diego zoo just didn't do it for me. My best friend and I even made a pact to come here together when we were little, but she broke it and came to study here in college:) I used to imagine I'd get married to some australian guy named Rob (Chris stop laughing! I'm NOT marrying Rob) and w...

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia daspittaLanding kat Sydney, lepas customs, tunggu luggage. Australia has this strict ruling about bringing drugs, plants and even food in the country. So sambil tunggu beg, ada polis round dengan anjing pengesan. Abis semua beg dia cium, hidu & gomol, termasuk laa hand carry aku. URGHH. Satu citer laa aku nak samak. Baggage lalu, aku amek, ada lagi check. Surprise, surprise, I was one of the chosen one. Bukak laa beg tu, kastam nak check. Tasty ok, so aku rela jer. Dia siap tanya, "If you're unem...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ianzansCome morning, had breakfast, and walked again to the harbour. I had a morning tour booking at the opera house. Some parts of the place were being refurbished, so the tour had to be diverted to several different parts of the building. Overall, I didn't think it was money well-spent. Tatau la kalo ikut original tour route ok ke tak. Pastu I walked...and walked...and walked. Dari pagi, I walked for 7 hours. Benti pun paling lama 10 minit, nak minum. Atau amek gambar. Habis meround - Mrs Mac...

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia elli78... i mean sure ther are signs saying No Locals, but i'm a current resident so i can do what i want....So i haven't had a picture of myself on a beach yet, so i ask a local to shoot me there! Well i make it to a section of the coast called Deewhy, and its a nature/bush walk and its freaking awesome, tons of good views of the beach and just a good trail, no city life, just out and about! Sydney, New South Wales, Australia tqhall... a immigration officer. She was impatient to get through customs, and was rushing, so she was running (briskly walking) through to customs when a lady wearing a facemask and a Abercrombie shirt went up to her and asked to see her passport. Julie didn’t trust her and asked who she was, the lady then showed her her card, and asked Julie to step aside into her office for an interrogation. Just Julie, not jeff =) … eventually she got thru the ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia webpop... when I try to catch the sunsets from this part of the world. I end up walking 4 hours - at pace. Finally reaching Nielsens point and Kiosk sitting at Shark Beach - a little alcove harbour beach with a netted off swimming area. It is an idyllic little spot - just full of charm and character. The perfect place to enjoy a rewarding glass of wine. Then the stupid drinking laws kick in again - you can only order alcohol with food. At this point I make a plea to ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia codownsean... can hear for themselves! we stayed in coober pedy for a couple of days, simply because we had to keep moving; the mix of burning heat and immense sandstorms was incredible; and the flies en masse were just the most annoying creatures created by god! man, if he exists and i ever get to meet the great man (or woman!), i definitely have to remember to ask them what purpose flies have?! anyway, coober pedy was crazy too, a mix of outback harshness and eccentricity! all around the town ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia vickz_2... out. Wednesday night is $2 steak night at a bar in Coogee Beach, so about 15 of us from school went down there, and what was supposed to just be a few drinks and dinner turned into me not getting home until midnight. :Last night was our friends John and Lori's birthday party, so a bunch of us went out for that till the wee hours of the evening. Well, that's all I've got. The countdown has begun until I leave- only two weeks left.
