Well this is my fest entry and I certainly hope you find it interesting as we continue our travels around Australia. Today we left at 6am from Perth heading towards wave rock in Hayden. The whole trip took 4.5 hours as we sat on 80 towing the van, the fog was horrendous the entire way. We stopped off in Brookton for breakfast which was delicious. Only regret was wished we had filled up the petrol tank just out of Armadale as it was cheaper than in town. We set up ...

... Up graded the hire car to a large.Holden CV6. A really nice car with plenty of room and very comfortable. Drove up to Duncraig to drop Cheryl off at her friends then on to Carine and Les and Petes's house. It was so good to see them both again after so many years and we spent the evening catching up on old times, and new. So much more to talk about over the next ten days. No photo's today will put some on ...

Had a nice chat with the neighboring campers who had been 4WD where they took 6 days to cover 240km, heavy going with lost wheels spiked tyres and mud mud mud but they had a ball.

Our trip to Perth was unusually error free, though we got our first taste of how expensive Australia was going to be with the taxi to our hostel costing a whopping $45. The hostels have a different feel here, they are mostly filled with westerners who are working in the country on a 1 year working visa. Which makes the hostels feel more like a big house than anything, everybody knows one another, they all watch tv together in big groups or cook ...

Well, my first week of classes has finished and I'm starting my second week now. Classes aren't bad, just like any old typical college class. Not much is different than at ISU, besides the professors here all have Aussie accents.

Last Thursday, my roommates and I all went out for a nice dinner, to a restaurant near campus, called The Sovereign Arm. It's based on a British pub, I believe. I got ...
