*Ian & Penny have booked a table at one of MR’s iconic vineyards: Leeuwin Wine Estate. The deck restaurant with views over the gardens and vineyards beyond is stunning, the food delicious and the wines very fine! Leeuwin is happy to sell their wines at retail and before eating we indulge in some selective wine tasting to a) choose a wine for our meal and b) to take a few bottles with us on our road journey that begins tomorrow.

... around, we found a Cafe at Kings Park for lunch. After lunch, we went for a walk around park. There were so many wild flowers. It was absolutely beautiful! The kids found a tree to climb, so they all climbed up it. Unfortunately Kate got stuck up a tree and it took a while to coach her down out of the tree. ... Judy and I hit the shops the next day and brought - NOTHING. Well not nothing. We had lunch and a look around but it was still enjoyable. On our return we ventured out to the beach which was only 6 or so km from the park. Lovely beaches all along the foreshore and lots of people out running and cycling.
