Well, we all know what it's like staying anywhere strange for the first night. You don't usually get the best sleep. We arrived in hot, muggy Singapore at 7pm and the kids were suddenly amazed by the high rise buildings; interesting shapes created by the lights and of course the heat. After walking around and having a coffee we jumped back on the metro and went to the waterfront area where the firework display was to take place at midnight.
At the moment everything about Singapore is just "amazing"! We ended up at another enormous conference and shopping area just back from the waterfront. There were thousands of people around of course being New Year's Eve ...
