Christmas In Singapore

A travel blog entry by pjordan

Initially Singapore was not on my list of places to visit. However, it turned out to be a fabulous place. Very compact city - easy to get around and lots to see.

Day 3 in Singapore

A travel blog entry by rebeccaac

Our budget did not like today one bit.

First we tried some bakkwa, Chinese dried meat which is quite like jerky but much nicer. Chinatown is full of shops selling it by the pile, some of which have queues out into the street. We had the BBQ pork and chili BBQ pork varieties and they both tasted quite like bacon covered in maple syrup - not …

Arrival in Singapore

A travel blog entry by rebeccaac

Arriving in Singapore was one of the most seamless airport experiences I've ever had. There were free sweets at customs and the officer even smiled! Getting the shuttle bus into town was quick and easy as one was ready as soon as we arrived at the desk. First impressions from the window of the bus: everything is VERY clean and tidy, the lawns are …

Enjoy our first stay in this dorm type room.
Good location and surprisingly clean for the shared bathroom.
Serve your own breakfast everyday, but remember dont wake up late because no more fruit left for you.

I loved this brand new pod hostel in Singers. I took advantage of the opening specials but I would stay again when I visit. Clean, friendly, open, cool and quiet. Great location!!!
