This hostel is brand new looking, very clean and well looked after. We stayed in a 10 bed dorm which was really spacious, beds were comfy. Only thing that wasn't great about the rooms were the blinds which didn't close fully and let in a lot of light. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and always clean. Avoid staying on 1st floor if you ever wanna chill out in your room after a busy day- they have a big party pretty much every night on the first floor. Great location, right in the centre over the road from central station. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great hostel! perfect area to explore, kitchen to save money, great meal and drink specials in the bar, lots of game nights to meet people. Stayed in the 10 bed mixed dorm and loved all my roommates, room was cleaning daily. Would defiantly stay again, very safe with big lockers, security, they make sure there in no partying in the rooms after 9-10
I added an extra night and stayed in a different 10 bed mixed dorm and had a really squeaky bunk but I only used it to sleep for that one night but im sure I could have changed rooms

The rooms were decent, showers were clean. Very busy during dinner time, the kitchen seemed a bit small for the amount of people they have on one floor. Very convenient to have SideBar just downstairs. Convenient location.

Das Wake up!

The hostel was great but it had more of a hotel type feel about it. Everyone seemed very secluded unless you were staying in a big dorm room. On the bright side the hostel bar is always a good night out and usually pretty full so there's always the opportunity to meet other travellers there.

I stayed in this hostel for only 7 days , cause it was impossible to book some days more even at the day of my arrival.
But never less they have a good team at the desk that helps u out in every situation.
Although , the kitchen hasn't enough pans or pots and that was a major problem at many times.
Also if you welcome backpackers , why are u one of the most expensive places to drink , cause that is what backpackers do when they arrive somewhere.

But still i enjoyed my stay , cause i met dozens of people over there that became close friends

Very good hostel, really friendly and the facilities and rooms themselves very nice and clean (well, until we wrecked the place anyway!) The bar downstairs is cool, food there also good although both not all that cheap. Would benefit from having free wifi I think as it's not that cheap accommodation to be honest.

Wake Up! is a well conceived place but is it really worth the extra money that you pay to stay there as opposed to a bog standard backpackers? I would argue not.

Cleaning standards were poor. No better than you would get in a cheaper joint and the kitchen facilities were very limited for such a large building.

Day dawned windy but sunny and cloud free. Yay! Drove to the start of the Three Sisters walk/viewing point and took some photos before starting down the Giants Staircase- around 900 near-vertical steps descending into the valley through eucalypt forest. It was so beautiful as well as being really quiet. Only saw 2 other walkers for the whole trail …
