Beds are comfi enough, not too noisy and cheapish. Breakfast included (which I never had) and kitchenette in each room. fridgeisdirty though
Water pressure could be better but will do to wash salt and sand out.

Check in time: 3pm. Arrived dead on time, needing a nap after our long red eye flight. Told staff were 'changing over' and would be 15 minutes, to wait in the lounge and we would be collected ASAP. Waited 20 minutes before returning to see at least 4 groups get checked in before us, all getting AC semi private rooms. Finally our turn, in the most distant and highest room, no AC in our room which is about 30 degrees, and no instructions on the diddly shower. One staff member eventually helped by sourcing a tiny fan, and we could nap at last.

Would not recommend this. Great location and free beach stuff, but rooms were pretty rubbish. Not well looked after at all.

The kicker were the other travellers, they were awesome fun! The staff were friendly or accommodating or both, depending on who you spoke to (the male staff seemed to be the most enjoyable to speak to about different events etc). The 8-bedroom dorm had its own kitchen and bathroom and were cleaned daily. The common area was pretty basic but enjoyable.

AFTER a only 9 hours flight (of course without any sleep and poor airplane food) I set my feet on the grounds of Honolulu on O'ahu.
After a good 30 minute walking around with my heavy backpack (I packed way too much and also the people working at the airport don't even know where to book a shuttle...) I finally managed to find a shuttle to …

Well the first day was very exciting. Not only was I going to get to know everyone in the group, but I was so excited for some hot weather and the beach. The first day we familiarized ourselves with the hostel and each other and then headed to the beach. That night was spam festival which is a Hawaiian delicacy, otherwise known as ham from a pig. …

          Suck. My last day...

The first thing I thought when I woke up this morning was, "Sweet balls I have to leave tonight!"  I really, really, really DO NOT want to go home. I hate my job, my apartment, pretty much everything about where I'm at in life right now, so why the heck would I want to go back when I'm living the good life here. Sure, Colorado is super laid-back...
