Plan A failed so I went to the tourist info place and the sign that greeted me read, 'There are no beds left in Bergen tonight'. Despite this I went and spoke to one of the guys working there and asked him what my options were, his response was, 'do you have a car or a tent?'. I said no to both. ... nickname Hightower) led us on a wild goose chase trying to find the pool/billiards bar but took us out to the sticks. Luckily my map in my head led us back to town and we found a pub (interesting pub name ;)) to enjoy the World Cup. A relatively quiet night in the end but hey we were buggered from rafting.

Back of beyond
... our arrival in Voss very welcoming, more so when we discovered our rental apartment had it's back door open out onto the shore of the lake. We had to make the most of the last hours of daylight with a trip up the hillside by cable car for some amazing views over the town and area. Feeling invigorated and refreshed, we thought we'd save some Krona and earn our dinner by hiking back down to town, though this proved to be a lot steeper than anticipated! ...
