I just wish I had taken a photo before the rain set in. We really have been very lucky with the weather overall so can't complain. We are only here overnight then we move on to Oslo for three nights. Our time is running out. We will be heading home in a few days.

Heimly Pensionate is a ten minute walk around the waterfront and our room has an unobstructed view of the Aurlandsfjord. A light misty rain has come in, lending a touch of atmosphere to the view. ... re into parasailing and other such activities, you might also stop in Voss. Otherwise, it's not necessary. While the Voss tourism board does a great job of advertising their hikes and the Flam tourist board does not, Flam has better hikes. I would have loved to have had a full day to hike to Myrdal and slowly see all of the scenery we saw on the train ride. I would have loved to have had time to hike beyond the waterfall. The hikes in Voss were nice, but not necessarily worth a whole day.

... of Spanish and Italian people. Numerous times we have been greeted in Italian. Not Norwegian or English. Italian. Go figure. Only on very rare occasions have we heard English but are thankful that everyone does speak it when they realise we do. I'm sure that will change as we edge towards Russia! After lunch we drove 1 1/2 hours to the nice but quiet little town of Voss situated on a lake and not dissimilar to that of a Swiss town, minus ...
