Beach Paradise

A travel blog entry by anlnewby on Jun 11, 2015

Today started like the last few. An early wake up for me and a nice gentle sleep in for Lisa. Today Lisa was happy to make breakfast and did a wonderful job. The day started cloudy and we weren't sure whether it would be a good day to camp out at the beach for the whole day. We decided to go anyway and the cloud cover soon moved to a beautiful sunny day. We did however stumble across a deli kind of thing which their slogan was 'save water drink wine' and we did. We tried so many different wines from all over Santorini. They have this grape they call black and crispy which made a beautiful sweet dessert wine. The other interesting ...

... about 20 each over the 10 days) at "Grandma’s Restaurant," and then went out to “The Beach Bar” for a party. We played darts and listened to the music for a couple hours before heading back to the hostel to sleep.

Since we did want to relax a little in Greece, we slept in a bit on Thursday. In the morning, we found that the rain had been replaced by hurricane-force winds… an exaggeration? Perhaps, but it was really, really windy. ...
