... in freezing pool and race to Hot Tub then bed for the children and date night for Anne and Tom to The Lord Nelson Pub - the pub that we went to on our first night in Sydney 1995 with Catherine and Bill. Slightly misjudged in retrospect as we had a great time and arrived somewhat shoddy for our first shifts at Westmead! It is now a microbrewery and serves pretty good Nepali curry. Warm fire, good food and good beer.

... a good nights sleep. We have to leave at 8am in the morning to get to the airport for flight to KL and on to Paris. Lets hope the dramas are behind us now, and can get on with enjoying ourselves, though given all that has happened, i for one am feeling extremely lucky that it has all worked out so well (Sam managed to fight off my nasty germs, and we managed to get a flight when it looked doomed).

... also heard the history of the design and building of the Opera House. By now we were in need of a sit down ..so walked along to Circular Quay and caught a ferry back to Darling Harbour. It was late in the afternoon and getting dark by the time we got back to the hotel.

We now have been upgraded to a large room with a view over the harbour which is lovely. Tonight we had our dinner at the hotel as we had had enough walking for one day!

Glorious day in Sydney, we made it to the international terminal in plenty of time, quick check in and then through immigration & security. Roy & Peter were asked to go through the full body scanner, funny because David looks more dodgy but didn't have to go through the scanner. Had plenty of time so we were checking out the duty free wine. Must have looked like serious buyers because a very official gentleman came up to us ...
